Robert Owens wins 1st ever IKF Karaoke Cup

In a symphony of skill and passion, the inaugural International Karaoke Federation (IKF) Karaoke Cup presented by the USKA reached its thrilling crescendo on Friday night with a clash of vocal titans.

Robert Owens, hailing from Huntsville, Alabama, defeated his opponent - the formidable Jovan Jones from Florida - in an epic one song singoff to determine the 1st ever Karaoke Cup Champion. Owens performed This Is the Moment from the musical Jekyll and Hyde to seal the victory. "It's a true honor to be the 1st IKF World Champion", said Owens after his win "To perform alongside so many talented perfomers was winning enough, but to come out the champion is humbling beyond words. I will cherish this for the rest of my days." With the victory Robert earned $5000 USD, the Karaoke Cup trophy and a trip back to the World Finals next year to defend his title.

The 2023 Karaoke Cup World Finals took place November 8 - 10, at the Ahern Hotel in Las Vegas. The main ballroom was transformed into an arena, with competitors vying for championship glory. Over 60 singers from around the world competed for the title.
