The IKF's non-profit mission is to further grow and promote Karaoke worldwide. To develop Karaoke at all levels and ages, promote the health and social benefits of singing through Karaoke, organize international competitions, and to make, amend and uphold the rules of competitive Karaoke.
IKF President and C.E.O. Whitney-John Stuart has ambitious plans in mind for the new Federation. "Never in its 50+ year history has their been a global non-profit federation dedicated to the growth of Karaoke and its many opportunities. We believe the IKF will be a vibrant, engaging brand experience across international events, digital channels, and corporate communications. As a sports entertainment organization, our goal is to reach new audiences and we believe that our brand will inspire and excite singers worldwide.”
"Sports and Music play a significant role in building cultures, and we are fortunate in the IKF to have a core leadership group that settles for nothing short of excellence. Our vocal athletes will be ambassadors representing their countries in front of the entire world at major events and international championships", said Stuart.
The IKF will establish a blueprint for structuring national federations that can promote the growth of Karaoke, setting the foundations for an athletic environment and community that are capable and empowered to make local, national and international achievements. New global inititatives will be announced as the 2023 season gets underway in January.
